Famous for Italian food, Bloomfield is one of Pittsburgh's liveliest neighborhoods,
but at the same time one of its least pretentious. The tiny, narrow back
streets are crowded with unassuming rowhouses. Liberty Avenue, the main
business street, is lined with Italian restaurants and blue-collar shops.
Although a few trendy pubs and stores have begun to move in, it's still
almost impossible to find a chain store in the whole length of the shopping
district.
